Celebrating Student Performance Success!

"This is a celebration our community can join in. When our students succeed, our schools succeed, and when our schools succeed, our community succeeds!" The work we have undertaken to align our vision from the boardroom to the classroom and to shift more funding than ever before from the central office into our classrooms is producing an incredible return on investment for our community.

We’ve made great gains across grade levels in student performance on the Georgia Milestones Assessments! For mathematics, our student performance in Grade 8 mathematics, up 7.8 points in two years, and algebra, up 9.7 points in two years, has surpassed our School Board-established three-year goals in only two years! For social studies, our U.S. History performance is now No. 1 in the region!

Our School Board defines accountability as having clear goals for student learning, and when we meet those goals, we celebrate. As part of its regular meeting, our School Board celebrated each school’s success by presenting principals with certificates honoring specific achievements to take back and celebrate their teachers, staff, students, and families.
